This role is a key part of the team to ensure merchandise sold is repaired and built properly.
Responsibilities:
Unload merchandise deliveries into receiving warehouse or offsite location.
Inspect merchandise at time of receipt for completeness and deficiencies.
Organize and verify all merchandise, recording and tagging all relevant information.
Assemble or repair merchandise as needed per manufacturer's specifications.
Knowledge of woodworking, basic repair skills preferred.
Stock merchandise in warehouse, prep sales floor as directed.
Knowledge of operation standard power and hand tools i.
e.
, circular saw, jig saw, grinder, drill, hammer, etc.
Always maintain a neat and orderly workplace:
moving pallets, sweeping, removing debris, cleaning etc.
Follow all safety procedures and participate in training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Help maintain and track equipment and tools used for job activities.
Assist with customer merchandise loadouts as needed.
Ability to work independently.
Building Maintenance and upkeep Ability to follow verbal and written instructions according to the Policies and Procedures of Finer Goods, LLC.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
1 year of relevant experience preferred but we will train the right candidate.
Attention to detail.
Must be able to work in a warehouse setting where exposure to loud noises and semi exposure to the outdoors is present.
Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds.
Forklift experience preferred but not required.
